Hip hip, hooray!<\/p>\n<p>Basically, you need to stop everything you are doing right now and go make these.&nbsp;<em>(But first read the rest of this post.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>OK I know- bacon isn&rsquo;t the healthiest thing in the world. High in vitamin K, manganese, and fiber, as well as being a little-known source of beta-carotene! I used my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0018A955C\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0018A955C&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=bowofdel-20&amp;linkId=PHT2Z75HTLVGOZA7\" rel=\"nofollow\">cast iron dutch oven<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=bowofdel-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0018A955C\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" data-pin-media=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=bowofdel-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0018A955C\"> for this. I almost always like using a heavy pot for things that need to simmer for a while, and it does a great job of cooking the bacon to a perfect even crispness.<\/p>\n<p>Once the bacon has cooked and the fat has rendered, add some sliced onions to the mix. Wait for it- your house will smell amazing in approximately 7 seconds. There is nothing &ndash; NOTHING &ndash; &nbsp;like the smell of bacon and onions sauteing together in perfect harmony.<\/p>\n<p>After the onions have softened a bit, add the green beans and stir to coat in all the yummy bacony oniony goodness. Then, add some chicken stock and salt\/pepper.
