I&rsquo;m excited to share it with you &ndash; I was finally able to resist diving in long enough to grab photos and write the recipe down!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BEST part about this recipe is that you just need a sheet pan &ndash; which means only one dish to wash. The OTHER BEST PART about this recipe is that you only need five ingredients, including whatever seasoning you feel like using. Oh and ANOTHER BEST PART is that it&rsquo;s healthy and easy and you can use whatever sausage you want. Oh, and the leftovers are amazing for breakfast. There are a lot of best parts about this easy recipe!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredients-and-substitutions\">Ingredients and Substitutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sweet Potatoes<\/strong> &ndash; you can use white potatoes, or a mix, if you like.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smoked sausage &ndash; <\/strong>or otherwise pre-cooked sausage. Kielbasa, andouille, chicken sausage, turkey sausage&hellip; or even a vegan or vegetarian sausage substitute. As long as it&rsquo;s already cooked\/smoked, you&rsquo;re good to go!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Onion and Garlic<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seasoning of choice &ndash; <\/strong>you can just use salt and pepper here to keep thing simple, but anything goes. Your favorite chicken, pork, or steak seasoning, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowlofdelicious.com\/taco-seasoning\/\">Taco seasoning<\/a>, Greek seasoning, Italian, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowlofdelicious.com\/ras-el-hanout\/\">Moroccan seasoning<\/a>, BBQ rub&hellip; whatever you want!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Olive oil <\/strong>&ndash; or another cooking oil of choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-make-sheet-pan-sausage-and-sweet-potatoes\">How to make Sheet Pan Sausage and Sweet Potatoes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Roast the sweet potatoes, garlic, and onions with olive oil and seasoning for 35 minutes, stirring once after about 20 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, add sliced sausage and cook for about 10 more minutes. This will ensure even cooking and maximum crispiness and caramelization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be generous with the amount of oil you use. <\/strong>If you use too little, the veggies may be a bit dry and the onions and garlic may burn too much.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Careful about salt. <\/strong>The amount of seasoning you use will depend on how much salt it has. If it doesn&rsquo;t have any salt, be sure to add some! Mine usually turn out very dark colored and crispy <em>(see photos in post)<\/em>, but they taste AMAZING. As long as you use enough oil, they should be good to go even if they look a little burnt. I use this thing for everything from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowlofdelicious.com\/two-ingredient-crispy-oven-baked-bbq-chicken\/\">BBQ chicken<\/a> to baking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowlofdelicious.com\/dark-chocolate-and-cranberry-pumpkin-oatmeal-cookies-and-a-giveaway\/\">cookies<\/a>. Here&rsquo;s what&rsquo;s great about it &ndash; it&rsquo;s so sturdy, so it doesn&rsquo;t warp under temperature changes. You can be aggressive with it, scraping things up with a metal spatula. Leaving them in larger pieces will help them cook slower and not burn as easily.
