Plus, they&rsquo;re made with three ingredients you very likely have in your house right now at this very moment. It&rsquo;s such a great way to use up any leftover bread you have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, they&rsquo;re tastier and MUCH cheaper than store-bought!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another great thing about these is you can make homemade whole wheat croutons by using whole wheat bread, which is a great way to add a little more nutrition into your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And you can make this with fresh bread OR hard, stale bread.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredients-for-homemade-croutons\">Ingredients for Homemade Croutons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cubed Bread<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Olive Oil<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Salt and Pepper<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Optional: <\/strong>Other seasonings of choice, like garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-make-homemade-croutons\">How to make Homemade Croutons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cut some bread into cubes.<\/strong> Alternatively, you can tear the bread into pieces <em>(this works well for bread with lots of holes like focaccia).<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Coat the cubes<\/strong> in olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other spices you want. Spread on a baking sheet <em>(no need to line the sheet &ndash; these croutons don&rsquo;t stick).<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Bake <\/strong>the croutons for 10 minutes.
