Very easy and tasty recipe. Great for busy day and Friday after work. I like to add a dab of hot Trinidad pepper sauce to mix but be extra careful. This pepper sauce is very Hot.!!!

So easy. I used kinders buttery garlic and herb, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, hot sauce, egg, crushed crackers and lump crab. Fried them up, squeezed lemon juice on top. It was so good.

So glad you liked it! Yes, absolutely make the patties and freeze for later. I love flash freezing things like this – place the patties on a parchment covered baking sheet, stick in the freezer for an hour until they are pretty solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. It makes it super easy to grab a couple at a time without worrying about them sticking together in the bag. Hope that helps!

I’ve never tried it but I don’t see why not! I would bake at 425 degrees F for about 15 minutes, flipping once halfway. Using oil will help get them to be a bit crispier on the outside, which will be lacking somewhat regardless when compared to pan frying them. And using parchment paper may be a good idea for easy clean-up (though you will likely get a better outer “crunch” if it’s directly on the metal of the baking sheet along with some oil. Excellent and easy recipe.
-I did soak the canned crab in ice water which took away the canned fishy taste. Thanks for that tidbit of advice.
-There were no spring onions available so I minced some yellow onions.
-As someone suggested, I used half Old Bay and Half soy (actually amino liquid).
-Avocado oil is the oil I used.

Since the crab meat you use will be cooked (there is a section about this in the post), you don’t have to worry about cooking it so it’s not raw. But a good rule of thumb for heating food thoroughly so it’s hot throughout is to cook it to 165 degrees F. For this I use a meat thermometer to ensure it gets heated through thoroughly. This recipe made crab cakes easy! I used saltines because I didn’t have bread crumbs. I didn’t have mustard either. However, still super delicious! I used some soy sauce and some old bay after soaking the crab and it wasn’t crazy salty.
