I agree – homegrown tomatoes are the best! Mine aren’t doing as well this year as I’d hoped, but I’m savoring the few I’ve gotten! I’ll have to try with pesto as well, great idea – thanks for sharing. Glad you liked the recipe :-)

We grow our own tomatoes and basil so this is one of my favorite summer recipes! It is absolutely delicious and so easy to make! In the winter, I’ve made it with some of our homemade pesto as a base but nothing beats the taste of those homegrown tomatoes!

Made a vegan version of this this evening, it was very good. But it would be good to update your “make it vegan:” note to include vegan naan- Naan is very rarely vegan; it usually has ghee, yogurt, milk or eggs. I used homemade vegan naan.

Hi! I’m in the (very slow and tedious) process of updating my recipes to have nutrition information. I went ahead and added the info to this recipe!
