This was easy and delicious – 10 out of 10 will make again. I sweetened with maple syrup and brown sugar as suggested, but I think next time I will use Hot Honey.

This 20-minute Sesame Chicken recipe is definitely worth a try. So love it! Even the whole fam loves it, too! Will definitely be cooking this again on the weekends.

Glad you liked it! Not battering the chicken is a great way to make this healthier and so much easier to make. I’ve done that before as well!

Made the sauce as directed, but upped the recipe for it by half as we like a more saucy dish. Also, didn’t use the batter for the chicken-just sautéed it until cooked then added the sauce. It turned out great! I think next time I would sauté the vegetables with the chicken as more of a stir fry for our family. It was amazing…thank you for the recipe!

This is awesome!! I used some chili garlic sauce (since I was out of sriracha) and it was so delicious. THANK YOU- I had pretty much given up frying in general, for many of the reasons you mentioned- and this was such a great alternative. Also, thanks for specifying maple syrup OR honey, as I was out of syrup too :) Honey worked perfectly.

Made this for dinner – so good! At first I wasn’t sure about the egg/cornstarch mix but it was on point. We added more sesame oil to the sauce but that was our only deviation. So good and loved that this is gluten friendly!

This recipe serves four, if I were to estimate serving size it would be about 3/4 cup. A pound of chicken breast is usually two breasts, so you can also think of the serving size as half a chicken breast. Hope that helps.

Hm, this is untested, and a bit unconventional, but you might want to try using a little plain yogurt or some mayo as a substitute. Milk may also work. Basically, you want a really thick coating on each piece of chicken, and the egg thickens everything up and helps it bind together. Hope that helps!

Elizabeth, I am in the same boat as far as good Chinese food is concerned–it’s a 30-minute drive for us. I made this last night, and the whole family loved it. Thanks for the great recipe!
